Latest creation, simplicity is the key
A quite simple design in many way, the client firstly wanted a bespoke ring and a tension style so that the diamond could really be shown off to all its glory. All the ones he had seen in the shops were the same with sharp straight edges. I explained to him that the ring we would design together would be based on a tension set ring, I say based because a true tension set ring is a diamond set between two edge which we can not make in this country because of the alloys that we use in our metals to allow them to pass the British Hallmark. After our initial discussions we came up with a unique style of tension ring with the most beautiful subtle curves.
We are going through the final designs this week, cant wait to share more with you
My First Diamond
It can be amazing reading into the lives of a celebrity or two, these celebs killed two birds with one stone by getting the wedding and baby planning started at the same time. Last month Natalie Portman, 29, and Benjamin Millepied, 33, announced they were engaged . . . and expecting. But the dancing duo, who met on the set of The Black Swan (2010), have not really set a new trend.
But David Law, London Jeweller comments “There is a special WOW factor to this popular combo, the joy of your wedding and all that comes with it and the special moment of the arrival of tiny feet.
So would it not be great to mark that special moment with a gift that will last a life time. My First Diamond is collection of jewellery where you can choose not only the design but also your own diamond allowing you to create your own unique gift even personalize it further with a special message, what a great way to start a new life”.
Come say hello and find out more, I would love to share the concept with you
I am often asked will I save money by buying my diamond on line?
On the face of it the answer might well be yes until you dig a little deeper. Firstly the online store will bombard you with the information that they want you to know, they will write about the colour and the clarity might even mention a little about the symmetry and the polish.
But what does that all mean to you?
Buying a diamond on a certificate and the above information will totally confuse you and might actually mean you spending much more money than you need to.
I have having been selling diamonds for more than 30 year and I am still learning, yet it ceases to amaze me how by visiting a few web sites any one can become an expert. It is just not true, You need to sit with a personal jeweller who will be able to show you samples of different colours, clarity’s and sizes of stones then taking into account not only your budget but information about the person you are to present they will be able to help and advise you so that you can make a conformed choice.
A diamond is the most beautiful and romantic purchase that you will ever make it is not a commodity that should be bought on price.
Seek out your own personal jeweller and let them put romance and mystique back into this special purchase.
You might just save money as well
The future is bright, the future is a personal jeweller
Everyone should consider having their own personal jeweller. Someone who will listen to you and your ideas. Then when the time is right be there to explain in “plain English” what the right diamond is for you and your partner and the pricing options.
When you have the right person at hand, they will be able to explain the differences between diamonds in the market place today, how best to design and wrap the diamond with your imagination and yes all mixed in with a little bit of science with the 4 C’s
Cut
Colour
Clarity
Carat-Weight
No matter what we talk about, I am passionate about your designs, love to share ideas and make dreams a reality. But bumping back down to earth for a moment, allow me to give you a little piece of advice, remember your eyes do not lie you need to see before you can buy, a diamond is the most precious purchase you can ever make. Never go into this lightly.
For anyone, any age that is looking for their first diamond, instinct takes you to stores and the internet to gather as much information to make the right decision, you can be so overwhelmed with information that in fact leaves you frustrated, unsure and could result in you spending far more than anticipated. To me it’s simple, I don’t want to see you getting the wrong diamond and design.
Sometimes, just knowing you have your own personal jeweller on hand to guide you can take away so much pressure. My aim is to free your mind of the technical jargon and open up your ideas with a better understanding to the right diamond for the right design and ultimately the right gift to WOW your partner or loved one.
I would welcome the chance to simply sit down and chat with you about your decisions, diamonds and designs, something that should be a fun experience and not a sales pitch.
