The Design Process
After his apprenticeship in Diamond mounting, David Law's bespoke jewellery journey began in 1980. Decades after, his methods and processes have also evolved – combining traditional manufacturing methods and 3D CAD modelling and printing.
Jewellery designer and maker David Law
Artisan and Maker David Law has made bespoke Jewellery in Hatton Garden since finishing his apprenticeship there in 1980. He prides himself on helping his clients turn their ideas into reality. Whether you're looking for a bespoke engagement ring, matching or fitted wedding rings, an anniversary ring, or remodelling a family heirloom David can help. And by combining his traditional roots with 3D CAD, you can see your ideas come to life in front of your eyes.
When commissioning with him, you will receive a Four-Point creative process:
Every bespoke work of elegance and sophistication is born from an idea. Coming up with the idea that will serve as Inspiration is something David can help bring out in you – whether it's helping you know what you want for your piece or making your existing ideas even better.
Inspiration isn't a one-way finish, so David will present six design ideas for you to see in 3D CAD and collaborate to perfect.
3D printing of your designs follows to wear with a selection of diamonds and gemstones before handcrafting by talented goldsmiths at his Hatton Garden workshop.
Your handcrafted jewellery piece will be presented to you in a cherished and loved way. It will come with a storybook that illustrates your design experience with David Law. Design to presentation typically takes three to four weeks, and every bespoke design David creates is within budget.
All of our diamonds adhere to the Kimberley Process, and we offer Candian Diamonds traceable from the exact mine and rough to your jewellery piece.
Lab-Grown Diamonds are also growing in popularity and come with GIA or IGI certificates. Additionally, we work with the Fairtrade standard, the world's first independent ethical system for gold, protecting miners working conditions whilst safeguarding the environment.
