Over four decades in jewellery design, I’ve been asked nearly every question imaginable.
Here, I’ve answered the ones that best capture how I work, my design philosophy, and what makes commissioning jewellery with me so personal.

FAQs: Your questions answered

My jewellery is never selected from a display or catalogue — every piece begins with you.
I combine 40 years of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge 3D design technology, allowing you to see, adjust, and perfect your jewellery before it’s made. You work directly with me from concept to creation, ensuring the final piece reflects your story, style, and budget.

All of my designs are bespoke — meaning there’s no pre-made collection.
I do, however, have an extensive design archive and digital gallery of my past commissions that you can explore for inspiration. From there, we’ll create something unique together — a piece that no one else will ever own.

You can meet with me in my Marylebone design studio or at my Hatton Garden workshop.
Alternatively, I offer a Travelling Jeweller service, where I bring the Hatton Garden experience to clients across London and the Home Counties. Many clients also choose to begin their journey with a virtual consultation — a simple, friendly Zoom call that works around your schedule.

You’ll be involved at every stage. I’ll interpret your ideas, show you visual designs in 3D, and provide wax models you can try on to ensure every detail feels perfect. Whether you arrive with a clear vision or just a feeling, we’ll shape it together until it’s exactly right.

I use advanced 3D CAD design to create realistic renderings, followed by 3D-printed wax models you can see, hold, and even wear. This “see, perfect, feel, and wear” approach gives you complete confidence in your design before I begin crafting it by hand in Hatton Garden.

Yes. Every piece is individually handcrafted in my Hatton Garden workshop by skilled artisans I’ve worked with for many years. Combining traditional bench skills with modern design technology ensures each piece is built to last and finished to the highest standard.

Absolutely. I’m committed to ethical and sustainable practices.
All my diamonds and gemstones are responsibly sourced, with options including lab-grown, traceable natural, and Canadian stones. I also work extensively with recycled gold and platinum, and I can reuse your own metals where suitable.

Yes — it’s one of my most rewarding services. I can transform old or inherited pieces into something new while preserving their sentimental value. Whether we reuse gemstones, melt down your gold, or completely reimagine a piece, the result will always honour the original story.

After we finalise your design and select your chosen stones, a 50% deposit becomes due, with the remaining balance payable when your jewellery is completed and ready for collection. Your initial design fee is fully credited towards that deposit.

Yes, every finished piece comes with a detailed valuation and documentation for insurance purposes. Diamonds and gemstones are supplied with their relevant certificates (such as GIA or IGI), and all work is fully guaranteed.

I offer a full aftercare service, from professional cleaning to resizing and repairs.
Jewellery is made to be worn and enjoyed — so I’m always here to help you keep it looking its best, whether years down the line or just for a polish before a special occasion.
