Do you charge for the initial consultation?
Your initial consultation with David is complimentary.
It is an opportunity to explore your ideas, understand what is possible, and experience the design process without obligation.
How does an at-home appointment work?
David meets you at your home or in a comfortable, convenient setting of your choice.
Through discussion, visual references, and 3D design concepts, your ideas are explored and refined in a calm, private environment.
Do I need a clear design idea before starting?
No. Many commissions begin with a simple idea or occasion ot by taking inspiration from a curated mood board. Your jewellery is designed collaboratively with David, allowing you to explore, refine, and confirm the design before anything is made — ensuring the final piece feels considered and right for you.
Can you bring diamonds and gemstones for viewing?
Yes. A curated selection of diamonds and coloured gemstones can be presented for you to view and compare.
Each stone is chosen for its beauty, character, and suitability to your design.
Can I use a family heirloom in my design?
Yes, David will provide a complimentary appraisal of your jewellery to see what is possible and whether it’s advisable to use it.
What are typical timescales?
Once your design has been agreed upon, most commissions are completed within three to five weeks.
If you are working to a specific date, this can often be accommodated where possible.
How is pricing agreed, and what is the deposit?
efore any commitment to the commission, the price will be agreed upon, and subsequently, the design and diamond and gemstone option will never take you above it, so you can choose with complete confidence.
A £250 deposit is payable to start the process, which is deductible from the final price, with the deposit brought up to 50% on choosing your design and gems, with the balance due on completion
