The Wax Ring Proposal

Choosing the perfect engagement ring can often be one of the most exciting and daunting times of your life. David’s beautifully presented wax ring proposal package contains a temporary engagement ring set with a precious stone chosen by you, the wax engagement ring you helped design and a storybook that maps out your exciting design journey.

You then return to the Studio and finish your bespoke engagement ring with your partner, creating memories to last a lifetime and a ring as unique as you. 

The Consultation Process

On your initial discovery call, David aims to understand your requirements, advise you, answer any questions and suggest options.
The following step will be to arrange a face-to-face Zoom call, meeting him at his Hatton Garden, Central London Studio, or in the comfort of your home to finalise the details.

Over the years, David has made many exciting and challenging engagement rings, reflecting his clients’ unique styles. You’ll receive expert help, advice, personal service, and a hands-on approach throughout the design process as David creates a bespoke ring that is unique and personal to you.

Designing Your Wax Engagement Ring

At the first design meeting, you will explore your ideas for your engagement ring with David. If you’re looking for a bit of inspiration to get started, David will show you some of his previous ring designs and can offer you some of his personal suggestions.
You’ll then discuss diamonds, coloured gemstones, and precious metals best suited to your intended design and lifestyle as you work together to put a design in place.

Sourcing Diamonds And Gemstones

David has extensive knowledge of both diamonds and coloured gemstones. He can source and help you choose your perfect stones from beautiful whites, intensive pinks, yellows, black diamonds certified by GIA, beautiful sapphires, rubies, and more unusual gems such as tourmalines. 

He can also suggest lab-grown diamonds and the diamond alternative moissanite. If you have your stone from perhaps a family heirloom, he can explore using it in the design.

Choice Of Designs

David will then head to his design studio to create a choice of six unique and original designs for you to see in incredible 3D CAD. Together, you’ll then collaborate to perfect the ring designs.

See And Wear Your Designs

He will then print your designs from his 3D printer for you to see and wear together with your chosen stone to make your final ring selection with complete confidence.

Finishing Touches

At his workshop in Hatton Garden, his diamond setters will set your stone into your temporary engagement ring and present it to you with your chosen wax ring and illustrated storybook mapping out the design journey we’ve shared.

Making Changes

The unique wax proposal ring package allows your fiancée to become part of the design process, make alterations, or do a complete redesign if they prefer. At the same time, they have the all-important temporary ring on their finger.
