The Design Process

David Law has been a Master Jewellery Designer and Maker since the 1980s. Since being an established name in the industry, he has merged the old and the new through his traditional manufacturing processes and his modern 3D CAD technology experience.

Jewellery designer and maker David Law

Hatton Garden-trained jewellery maker and designer David Law have been working with his private clientele since completing his Hatton Garden diamond mounting apprenticeship in the early 80s. Since then, he has created many exciting bespoke engagement rings, unique wedding rings, celebration jewellery and remodelled family heirloom. And today, with the introduction of 3D Design and printing, his client can see and wear their one-off designs before he handcrafts their chosen Jewellery at his Hatton Garden workshop.

His design proposition is a Four-Point creative process:

Inspire

It all begins with an informal chat where you will share your ideas with David. He will inspire you with his suggestions as you put together a design brief.

Design

David brings the fruit of those early discussions to the design phase, where he will provide and present six fantastic design concepts in 3D CAD for you to collaborate to perfect.

Create

3D printer versions of your designs follow for you to try on with a selection of handpicked diamonds and coloured gemstones.

Cherish

Your jewellery will be handcrafted at his Hatton Garden workshop by his team of talented goldsmiths and, on passing his quality control checks, presented to you with an illustrated storybook narrating the whole creative process.

Design to presentation typically takes three to four weeks, and every bespoke design David creates is within budget.

Ethically Sourced

All of our diamonds adhere to the Kimberley Process, and we offer Candian Diamonds traceable from the exact mine and rough to your jewellery piece.
Lab-Grown Diamonds are also growing in popularity and come with GIA or IGI certificates. Additionally, we work with the Fairtrade standard, the world’s first independent ethical system for gold, protecting miners working conditions whilst safeguarding the environment.
